Well, that’s a long time ago that I’ve posted a proper blogpost isn’t it? I actually started to miss the writings, so here I am!
It’s been over a month since I started to make English content instead of Dutch. It was a hard and huge decision for me. Though I still took the chance and just did it. What did I have to lose? Nothing right? And that’s true. People have been so supportive on that change and I couldn’t wish less. However, not everyone’s liking it, but hey that would be the same with just doing things in Dutch.
The views are not there where I want them to be yet, but that will come. I just don’t have enough English content yet to make viewers stay I think. I’m still full of ideas, but some of them take a lot of time, not easy one takers if you know what I mean. The question is; Do I like making English content? I can say hell yes! I feel comfortable with it and I feel like I can reach new people easier this way. I don’t struggle with speaking English that much anymore. I just feel fine.
My ideas for video’s are pretty clear. I know where I want to go with my channel and stuff. But the blogging… I have thought a veerryyy long time about that. At the moment I’m not 100% sure which way I want to go with my blog, but what I’m sure of is that I want to blog again. I’ve missed it so much! Some things are easier to write down and shown by pictures than making a video about it. I’m just going to start writing again and I’ll see what I’m going to post online. Maybe some things may still appear in Dutch, but you’ll see.

Persoonlijk vind ik Nederlandse bloggers die opeens Engels gaan bloggen bloed irritant. Vaak kunnen ze niet goed Engels en maken ze veel grammaticale fouten.

I have a Dutch blog about saving money, but I’m thinking about writing in English as well. I’m just not sure how and where I will do that. Do you have any tips for starting an English Blog?
Well, first of all; ask yourself if you feel fine by writing in English. If you don’t feel confident about your English, than just practice before you change. Secondly, you have a dutch domain at the moment, consider if you want to start all over again or not. Foreigners are more likely to click at a English domain then a dutch domain. For the rest: do what you want to do and believe in yourself. 😉
